Fridges Popping up All Over Australia

Anytime, anywhere on the highways of Australia you will see some easily recognisable fridges popping up all over Australia, those fridges are probably full of bananas and the plain white paintwork has the simple Blenners name on the side.

The business built by Les Blennerhassett and his wife Judy has become a dominant player in hauling refrigerated fruit out of North Queensland. The business has grown from its original base in Tully and now there are depots across Queensland, from Brisbane north to Cairns and trucks heading to all parts of the country loaded with the produce of the tropical north of the Sunshine State.

After over 30 years experience in transporting fresh produce to market, Blenners Transport is the nationally trusted and respected transport solution for Far North Queensland and beyond.

As a family owned and operated refrigeration transport business, Blenners Transport has grown from a single semi trailer into a large business offering professional transport solutions.

The fleet consists of 84 line haul combinations, including singles, B-doubles and road trains along with 39 rail containers meeting the needs of a wide range of clients needing to transport dry, refrigerated or frozen freight.

The Blenners business were named as the 2020 Kenworth Legends, but instead of the usual on stage presentation of that award, this video was made instead.

It was part of the ATA live event from last year, when, in the middle of the Covid shutdown the Australian Trucking Association ran a virtual conference instead of its usual annual Trucking Australia event. A get together may be able to be held with in-person speakers and presentations, this year, with a bit of luck. Hopefully there will be more of the personal interaction and networking which so many people are missing with the limitations on interstate travel and large gatherings.
