Peugeot by Definition
It’s easy to get carried away in the race for unintelligible acronyms that leave buyers pondering on the merits of ABS, EBD, HHA HDA, EBD or, in the case of the Peugeot 3008, whether it’s an MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle), an SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) or simply a high riding hatchback. Peugeot likes to call the 3008 an SUV, but that’s a title with which we, at ECOcar, struggle. Our thinking is that a true SUV has all-wheel-drive capability and certain off road intent at providing a high degree of traction for when the going gets decidedly tough. The 3008 is front wheel drive only. No matter how good the traction control systems, anti- slip sensors or advanced braking systems may be, without drive to all four wheels and the consequent improvement in traction, we don’t consider it an SUV.
