The Eye of the Beholder

Looks, appearance and style are all

 very subjective to the viewer.

Fortunately, we don’t all like the same

things, and, especially in the motor

industry, we create products that appeal

to different people in different ways.

At first sight, the Kia Soul certainly

stands out as being totally different. Its

  square, boxy design was probably

originally intended to be a rival for the

Mini, and while it’s got a hard act to

follow in terms of matching the iconic

English original design, in some ways, it

out manoeuvres the Mini, offering much

more in certain areas and competing on

  equal terms in others.

What the Soul does provide the buyer

is choice. Rather than having to take a

car that’s identical to the model parked

next to it in the showroom, a little

forethought and activity at order time by ticking different boxes will yield a personalised Soul that embodies your likes and dislikes, and not those of someone else
