Anyone for Polo

     Just over one year after its debut in

  Europe at the Geneva Motor Show,

  Volkswagen has brought the new Polo

  to Australia with a trio of engines and

  plenty of appeal for those that like to

  combine efficiency and function in their

  daily commute.

    In our last issue of ECOcar we were

  able to provide a brief drive experience,

  but with the full range now on the

  market, we are pleased to be able to

  offer our views after a week behind the

  wheel of two of the three main

  models.   

   Whereas the original Polo was very

 much a small entry level hatch option,

 the latest example of the Polo has

 certainly grown into its role, offering an

 almost a scaled down version of the

 Golf, with the ambition to provide its owner with more than it could produce in its earlier incarnation.
