Mum's the Word
Call it personalised transport for a
tribe, or a Mum Bus, the Grand
Carnival has cause to celebrate.
It’s been an amazing ride for Kia
Motors, and all Korean car
companies, as this new provider of
motor vehicles has well and truly
got to grips with the alternative, of
Japanese manufacturing, and is well
ahead of the next generation from
China.
Cumulatively, through the first six
months of 2010, Kia's global sales
surpassed the 1-million unit mark,
posting an increase of 34.1 percent year-on-year and reaching 1,004,724 units. The Chinese market saw Kia’s performance experience the highest gain of 75.6 percent, based on sales of 170,977 units to date in 2010.
What these figures suggest is that perhaps Kia has finally turned the corner, behind fellow Korean Hyundai, and is now enjoying sales gains as its product line-up increases its credibility. And, with that higher positioning, or acceptance, in the market, it leads us straight into discussing the latest upgrades to the Grand Carnival, Kia’s popular people mover.
