CURRENT ISSUE ...

Issue 30 June/July 2010

There’s lots of exciting news in this issue with the announcement of the Delivery Magazine “Best Ute of the Year” and  “Best Van of the Year” Awards for 2010.

Hyundai held the crown for the past two consecutive years as Van of the Year with the Hyundai iLoad but this year it’s the turn of Volkswagen to win the accolade for the latest series of improvements made to the Transporter T5.

New engines and new transmissions have made all the difference to this German contender and we’d suggest that anyone on the lookout for a new van or cab chassis should certainly take time out for a test drive.  The power delivery is smooth, the interior noise levels extremely subdued and the driver comfort sets a new benchmark.

Also in the June issue is an introduction to the latest in electric vans, a comparison of the  basic trim level Commodore and Falcon utes, we drive the latest  LPG conversion that Ford will adopt next year and find it’s outstanding and we also drive the two major people movers, the Rosa and the Coaster.

In the mid-range van market we drive the Fiat Ducato MTA automatic and find it’s a great, sophisticated and extremely comfortable way to carry your work around with you.

Our multi-vehicle comparison test in this issue centres on the large van segment, showing there are lots of good reasons to consider a van when you might have just looked at light trucks.

In the light truck market itself we spend a weekend in the new Hino Dump with automatic transmission and we compare what else is available from the competition of Isuzu and Fuso. And if you think that hybrid is the way to go, we also have a must read feature on the latest in hybrid technology.

Our goal is to continue to make Delivery Magazine the best, most authoritative light commercial magazine in Australia.

Thanks for joining us.

Stay safe and enjoy the drive.
